"How much does a ticket cost at your usual movie theater? Does the price affect the number of movies you see at the theater?"
Submitted by Kristie.
I went to the movies last month to see Sex and the City. Tickets were $10.25 each, and the consession stand got almost as much. Minimum of $20 to go to the movies... minimum. Surprised me a little since I don't go that often. That's not because of the ticket prices, it's because it's so hard to get our schedules to mesh enough to find the time to go at all.
That being said, the girls and I are more than willing to pay the extra moulah to sit back and be waited on in the Lux theater... though it's been sold out every time we've tried for tickets, so it remains an elusive desire for Denise, Kelly and me.
Show us the very last picture you took. No cheating!
I went to Tower Hill Botanic Garden last weekend and I took this on the way out. The rest of the pictures can be seen here on flickr.
Cover of a trade magazine that epitomizes Crush-Monkey to me...
Granted... I cannot read, write or speak any form of Asian language, so I have no idea what the text at the top says. Here's hoping it's the same as the English text below it!
the new iPhone 3G will soon have a new home in the house of KEG. Mark my words VOX!
but I didn't know it would be here so fast. The first heatwave of 2008.
HHH... It's heard a lot here in New England in the summer... Hazy Hot and Humid. And it looks like we're in for a couple more days of this stuff before we get some relief.
It wouldn't be so bad if the ocean water were a bit warmer. It's still in the 50's and that's just not happening for me. Don't get me wrong... I'm no beach bum, but a nice walk in the water on a hot day is really nice... but not when it's only in the 50's! Maybe by July...
I know, I know... but they used it in the movie. See... it's right there on the poster...so it's okay... really!
Yes... Denise and Kelly and I went to see Sex and the City on the big screen Saturday night. Oh fun was had by all in the sold out 7:00pm show.
We arrived only 10 minutes early and the best seats we could get were in the very last row at the top... actually where we'd prefer to be. Kelly and I made the mad dash for snacks while Denise staved off the vultures honing in on our empty looking seats. We made our way back to our seats in the dark as Carrie Bradshaw's voice began the voiceover. We completely missed any previews and a little of the beginning of the movie, but it's all good.
It was a great movie for anyone who is (or was) a fan of the HBO series. Clothing was AMAZING... just as I expected. Some seriously funny moments... won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet... just hurry up and go see it so we can chat!
But it is easy to buy "green"!
My current obsession? "Green" totes. I'm up to two... aren't they cute?! Got the Anya Hindmarch (the one on the right) a couple of months ago. Saw the VERT bag in a magazine around the same time but couldn't find it anywhere. While shopping with my mom on Saturday, I literally bumped into a rack of beach coverups. When I looked the rack over to make sure I didn't completely destroy the thing, I saw this little cutie behind all the coverups! SCORE!
Oh aren't you the funny one!!! Did you remember to pack "THE Book" in your carry-on?? Wouldn't want to disappoint... read more
